Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress, who is employed in the fields of film, television and theatre. Her most well-known role is Teri Joe the fiery lawyer from The Showtime series Soul Food. Nikki Kodjoe is her new name after she married. Growing up living in Baltimore, Maryland, she was always intrigued by acting. When she participated in a Maryland high school contest at the beginning of her education she received the award for best actress. In the years following her involvement in acting and in "The Washington Ballet Company", she received an acting degree at the New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love brought her a first-class role. Films like Blue Streak and Boogie Nights Spark were followed by Boogie Nights Spark. The TV series Soul Food' was immensely well-received. Also, she appeared in TV Series such as Second Time Around 'and Empire. In the early years of her career, she appeared in several stage plays. Parker is a politician, who also takes an active role in the fashion world and acting, is currently married to Boris Kodjoe. Their two children are born.

Contractor who was born and raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai prior to turning 7, had traveled the world and experienced various cultures while growing up. She attended boarding schools at the age of 7 until 9 in London. Later the family relocated in Toronto (Canada) which is where they were raised for her entire life. Contractor had a great academic career in Toronto while also training as the ballerina. The Etobicoke School of the Arts (a public school for high schools that is specialized in arts), Contractor studied both dance and theatre. When she was 16, after nearly 10 years of dance Contractor realized she wanted to take up acting as a profession. As she finished high school and was awarded an all-inclusive tuition grant to the University of Toronto where she was a theatre student with a dual degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Contractor attended the highly-regarded Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After one full year, she was given the leading role. She received rave reviews for her performance on the stage in 92 productions. the play was voted"the best show of 2002" by Canadian reviewers in 2002. She accepted the invitation to join Stratford's conservatory. It is a place that allows only four males and eight women can take the 20-week crash course of classical theater. Contractor's participation in the next play-season was confirmed and she received the role of Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
